काठमाण्डौ,नेपाल – उत्तर कोरिया के परमाणु निरस्त्रीकरण के लिए संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका, भारत, जापान और ऑस्ट्रेलिया वाले चार देशों के गठबंधन ‘क्वाड’ की प्रतिबद्धता की खबर पर प्योंगयांग ने कड़ी प्रतिक्रिया व्यक्त की है।
देश ने साफ कर दिया है कि उत्तर कोरिया अपना परमाणु हथियार कार्यक्रम कभी नहीं छोड़ेगा।
भारतीय राजधानी, नई दिल्ली में हाल ही में क्वाड गठबंधन की बैठक के बाद जारी एक संयुक्त बयान में, चार देशों के गठबंधन ने उत्तर कोरिया के परमाणु निरस्त्रीकरण के लिए अपनी प्रतिबद्धता दोहराई।
इसके जवाब में उत्तर कोरियाई विदेश मंत्रालय के प्रवक्ता ने कहा कि उत्तर कोरिया का परमाणु निरस्त्रीकरण कभी नहीं होगा।
क्वाड की आलोचना करते हुए प्रवक्ता ने कहा, “क्वाड एक राजनीतिक उपकरण है जिसका इस्तेमाल एकध्रुवीय प्रभुत्व के लिए अमेरिकी रणनीति को लागू करने के लिए किया जाता है।”
अपनी लंबी दूरी की बैलिस्टिक मिसाइल और परमाणु क्षमताओं में उल्लेखनीय सुधार करने के बाद, उत्तर कोरिया ने अपने रणनीतिक और पारंपरिक हथियारों को और आधुनिक बनाने पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया है।
प्योंगयांग ने इन उन्नत हथियारों को दक्षिण कोरियाई सीमा के पास तैनात करने की योजना की भी घोषणा की है।
